Individuals gain, maintain, or develop abilities through involvement in a variety of everyday-life activities as a result of our services. These activities are required for individuals to live in the community, to be more self-sufficient, or to be more productive and involved in community life.
- Chore and Housekeeping Services
These services are only available when a household member is temporarily gone or unable to manage the home, or when there is no landlord or agency caregiver staff to do the homemaker activities. Homemaker Services, which may include cleaning, laundry, and other routine household care, must be given by a qualified homemaker.
- Home Services
This is a direct (face-to-face) service offered by home healthcare agencies in Pennsylvania in-home and in the community to support individuals in obtaining, maintaining, and developing self-help, household skills, socializing, and the adaptive abilities required to live successfully in home and community-based settings.
- Companion Services
Companion Services are utilized in place of habilitation services to preserve an individual’s health and well-being when a habilitative outcome is neither acceptable nor attainable.
- Behavioral Support Services
Individuals can use this service, which involves a full assessment, the development, and revision of a behavioral support plan that includes measures to help the client based on the evaluation, and the provision of interventions and training to individuals, staff, and caregivers.
